Contracts Manager - Yorkshire Water

SSA are currently recruiting for a leading Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor who require a Contracts Manager to join their team as part of their upcoming AMP8 Yorkshire Water framework covering schemes such as clean & wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, tunnelling, shafts, deep drainage, pipelines, and other schemes.

This role involves working closely with directors to ensure the right processes and procedures are in place to deliver clean and wastewater schemes in various environments. The Contracts Manager will also be responsible for managing teams of project managers, site managers, supervisors, engineers, operatives, and subcontractors.

They are seeking an individual with a detailed history within the civil engineering or utilities sector, capable of involvement in business development, tendering, health & safety, client liaison, recruitment, and other related areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of projects within the specified time and budget constraints.
• Ensure all health, safety, and welfare obligations related to project delivery are met.
• Identify necessary resources and assign responsibilities accordingly.
• Create and execute project work plans, revising them as needed to meet changing requirements.
• Maintain and manage relationships with clients and all project stakeholders appropriately.
• Apply the company's methodology effectively and enforce project standards.
• Minimize the company's exposure to risk on projects.
• Ensure project documents are complete, current, and properly stored.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Management experience within Civil Engineering and/or Utilities sectors.
• HNC/HND/BSc/MSc in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar, or equivalent time-served experience.
