Job summary

• Demonstrable experience leading surfacing project delivery for local authorities or strategic road networks.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to manage budgets and contract performance.
• Excellent organisational skills and thorough documentation management.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams; build stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills across all levels.
• Analytical mindset to interpret operational and financial data for decisions.
• Commitment to health, safety, wellbeing and environmental compliance.
• A technical qualification and/or professional membership is desirable.
• SMSTS certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient delivery of asphalt surfacing contracts on varied projects.
• Manage contract performance to meet time, budget, and quality targets.
• Develop strong relationships with customers, authorities, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to grow volume, customers, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and company policies.
• Monitor performance against annual plans and targets.
• Provide leadership to operational teams and drive continuous improvement.
