SSE plc is recruiting a Contract Manager to join the Procurement & Commercial team, delivering onshore connections and network reinforcement projects in the SHEPD area. The role requires end-to-end P&C support across multi-million projects and a background in quantity surveying or contracting with strong commercial acumen.
You will manage procurement, budgets, and contractual risk while liaising with suppliers and project teams to ensure value for money throughout the contract lifecycle.
Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations Perth, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness
Salary: £51,600 - £77,400 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial (P&C) team working to deliver onshore connections and capital network reinforcement cable projects as part of our Distribution business in the SHEPD operational area.
You will be providing end to end P&C support for the delivery of numerous £multi-million, major projects relating to underground cable, overhead line and substations across the SHEPD operational area.
This role would someone from a Quantity Surveying background with experience working either Client or Contractor side, no specific experience working in Energy sector is required but would be advantageous.
You'll be an enthusiastic, delivery focused individual with strong commercial acumen and technical understanding of construction principals, including well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, negotiation skills gained from working as a contracts/commercial manager or quantity surveyor in the construction industry.
