SSE is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Procurement and Commercial team, delivering onshore connections and network reinforcements for the SHEPD area. You will support end-to-end procurement and contract management for multi-million-pound projects in construction, including underground cable, substations and overhead lines.
Candidates with a Quantity Surveying background and NEC ECC contract experience will be preferred.
Base Location: You’ll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations Perth, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Inverness
Salary: £51,600 – £77,400 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial (P&C) team working to deliver onshore connections and capital network reinforcement cable projects as part of our Distribution business in the SHEPD operational area.
You will be providing end to end P&C support for the delivery of numerous £multi-million, major projects relating to underground cable, overhead line and substations across the SHEPD operational area.
This role would someone from a Quantity Surveying background with experience working either Client or Contractor side, no specific experience working in Energy sector is required but would be advantageous.
You’ll be an enthusiastic, delivery focused individual with strong commercial acumen and technical understanding of construction principals, including well-developed interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, negotiation skills gained from working as a contracts/commercial manager or quantity surveyor in the construction industry.
