Job summary

SSE plc is recruiting for a Contract Manager to join our Procurement and Commercial (P&C) team within the Network Operations portfolio. You will manage pre and post contract procurement and commercial support on major projects worth £600–£700m, with project values up to £70–£80m.

The role suits those with a Quantity Surveying background, 5+ years’ post graduate experience, and knowledge of NEC contracts. Base location requires 50% on-site work in Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow or Perth with a

• At least 5 years post-graduate experience.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate contract terms for high-value projects and manage delivery.
• Support handover of assets and ensure robust service contracts for HVDC components.
• Shape strategies for future Network Operations requirements and identify opportunities within P&C.
• Negotiate prices and ensure value for money for consumers.
• Engage stakeholders and resolve disputes; lead and influence where needed.
• Cost and forecast management with regular reporting and change control.
