Job summary

SSE in Scotland is seeking a Junior Contract Manager to join the Procurement and Commercial team supporting the Eastern Green Link projects. Based from one of our Scottish locations (Glasgow or Perth), you will provide pre and post contract commercial support for HVDC cable, converter stations and civils works.

Reporting to the P&C Manager, you will help negotiate contract terms, manage costs and forecasts, and ensure compliance with the SSE Commercial Manual.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating, sourcing management, cost & budget management, and contract administration.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent; working towards professional membership such as RICS or CICES.
• Experience with NEC and FIDIC forms would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support P&C Manager / Senior Contract Manager in negotiating contract T&Cs for high-value projects.
• Manage costs, forecasts and change control; ensure value for money and robust cost reporting.
• Provide post-contract commercial management to align with project goals and commercial manuals.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and standards; promote safe working practices.
