Job summary

Thorn Baker Recruitment Ltd in West Midlands is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee three live housing developments. You will lead contract negotiations, manage budgets and ensure compliance with health and safety standards across sites.

The role requires SMSTS, CSCS and NVQ Lv 6 in Construction Management with a proven track record in house-building projects in the West Midlands. Full-time, Mon-Fri with occasional extended hours and site visits.

Qualifications

Proven experience in contract management for house-building projects.
SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work certifications.
Full, valid driving licence and regional project exposure.

Responsibilities

Oversee contractual aspects of multiple live housing developments.
Lead contract negotiations, variations and claims with subcontractors and clients.
Monitor budgets, costs and cash flow forecasts to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
Ensure health and safety standards across all sites.
Prepare reports on contract performance and risks for senior management.
Maintain records to support audit and compliance requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes.
