Job summary

Thorn Baker Construction invites applications for a Contracts Manager to lead fast-track retail fit-out and refurbishment projects from pre-start to completion in the Lichfield area. You’ll manage multiple schemes valued GBP100k–GBP1m, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and quality targets are met for clients and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has proven contracts management experience in retail fit-out, CSCS, SMSTS and asbestos awareness, plus strong leadership and planning skills; a full UK

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within retail fit-out, refurbishment or fast-track construction.
• Strong knowledge of retail, leisure and commercial fit-out projects.
• SMSTS, CSCS Card and Asbestos Awareness certifications.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of multiple fast-track construction projects.
• Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop project programmes and monitor progress throughout the build.
• Plan and control labour, materials and project resources.
• Chair and attend pre-start, progress and client meetings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects meet health & safety, quality and commercial objectives.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure successful project delivery.
