Job summary

Henley Chase is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple fast-paced fit-out and refurbishment projects from inception to completion in the Lichfield area. You will manage teams, subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

The role requires at least 5 years in construction project management, a strong shopfitting background, and a proven ability to handle live projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' Project Management experience within the construction industry.
• Strong shopfitting background.
• Experience with principal contractors.
• Experience in Retail and Leisure fit-out/refurbishment projects.
• Previous Contracts Manager experience is desirable.
• Proven ability to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
• Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
• Good knowledge of construction legislation and industry standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Commuting distance to Lichfield preferred.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established principal contractor specialising in retail and leisure fit‑out and refurbishment projects. This role is ideal for someone with a strong shopfitting background who has progressed through Site Management into Project or Contracts Management. You will be responsible for delivering multiple fast‑paced projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple fit‑out and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.
• Deliver projects valued between £100,000 and £1 million.
• Oversee programmes typically lasting 3‑10 weeks.
• Manage project teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

Requirements

Applicants with experience delivering projects for major retail and leisure clients will be highly regarded, including supermarkets, retail chains, coffee shops, cinemas, leisure facilities and similar commercial environments.
