A local government authority in the United Kingdom seeks a Contracts Manager with civil engineering experience to oversee construction and road maintenance activities. An excellent opportunity to join our team within SBc Contracts at a senior level. As a leader and Manager you will have opportunities to demonstrate your skills knowledge and experience in the delivery of Civil engineering, construction and road maintenance activities across a number of live contracts across the Scottish Borders and beyond. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to manage the performance of numbers of work groups across multiple locations concurrently, ensuring the delivery of project goals and organisational targets including financial and productivity measures. Working as one of three contracts managers, reporting to the SBc Contracts works manager, you will support, learn from others and develop your skills as a team member with a strong emphasis on performance and improvement. Commercial acumen is a crucial, you must be able to exercise great skill and judgement in managing competing workloads and demands to maintain performance.
