Job summary

Caval Ltd is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager for its established construction operations in the Liversedge area. You will own a portfolio of projects, overseeing contractual performance and profitability, while coordinating with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.

We require hands-on experience with construction contracts, commercial management and the ability to deliver safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial management and project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating site-based teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects from contract award through to completion and final account.
• Oversee contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, programmes and commercial requirements.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and valuations to maximise profitability.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, appointments, performance and contractual agreements.
• Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, site teams and senior management to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify and manage commercial risks, contractual disputes and potential claims.
• Review contract documentation, scope of works, amendments and change control procedures.
• Monitor project progress against agreed programmes, addressing delays and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant health and safety legislation, quality standards and company procedures.
• Prepare regular commercial reports, forecasts and updates for senior management.
• Support the resolution of contractual issues and negotiate variations, extensions of time and final accounts.
