Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead a portfolio of water and infrastructure schemes across our Yorkshire Water framework. You will be responsible from inception to handover, directing site teams and ensuring delivery in line with programme, budget and client expectations.

The role requires CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, a Civil Engineering qualification, and excellent communication and organisation skills, with willingness to travel to sites within the regional operating area.

Qualifications

• CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS are required.
• Civil engineering knowledge and practices are essential.
• Strong understanding of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.
• Excellent organisation and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for commercial and programme delivery whilst ensuring client satisfaction.
• Lead a team of site managers to ensure successful execution of the programme.
• Improve awareness, compliance and performance with company standards and processes.
• Facilitate growth and development of the team.

Our Contract Managers are great communicators, motivators & leaders, who have a wealth of technical knowledge, and have full ownership of the whole process from inception to handover.

What You’ll Need

• CSCS, SSSTS/ SMSTS
• HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
