Job summary

JN Bentley is seeking a Contracts Manager to lead and manage projects across Scotland under the Scottish Water’s new Enterprise program. The successful candidate will be responsible for the commercial and program delivery while ensuring client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • CSCS, SSSTS/ SMSTS certifications required.
  • Understanding of civil engineering principles and practices is essential.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 or 4 contracts is a plus.

Mott MacDonald Bentley is a key Asset Delivery Partner for Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, part of their SR27 investment programme. The Enterprise is set to deliver £9bn of major infrastructure investment between 2027 and 2033, enhancing Scotland’s water and wastewater assets. It will help preserve the nation’s world-class water quality, protect the environment and ensure services continue to meet the needs of customers.

As part of our appointment to Scottish Water’s new Enterprise, we will deliver projects at sites across Scotland. Works will include major upgrades to treatment assets, new and enhanced networks, and resilience schemes that will benefit communities across the country.

The Role Of a Contracts Manager Includes
  • Instilling the company culture and driving consistency across a number of schemes for the organisation
  • Leading a team of site managers to ensure successful execution of the programme
  • Improving awareness, compliance and performance with company standards & processes
  • Facilitating the growth and development of the team
  • Overall responsibility for commercial and programme delivery whilst ensuring client satisfaction
What You’ll Need
  • CSCS, SSSTS/ SMSTS
  • HNC / Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Understand civil engineering principles and practices
  • Knowledge of NEC3 or 4
  • Excellent organization and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
  • A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
