Job summary

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Engineer to join a specialist piling contractor on a major infrastructure project near King's Cross Station. The role involves managing QA/ITP processes and coordinating piling activities on site for a secant piled wall project.

As part of the team you will ensure records, pile logs, and quality documentation are maintained to the highest standards while supporting safe delivery of the works in line with client procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Engineer on piling or geotechnical projects.
• Experience with secant piled walls, rotary bored, CFA piling or similar techniques.
• Strong QA processes, ITPs and inspection requirements.
• Experience maintaining site records and quality documentation.
• CSCS Card is essential.
• First Aid and SMSTS/SSSTS beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality assurance and quality control activities for allocated piling operations.
• Review, implement and maintain compliance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Inspect reinforcement cages upon delivery and verify compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate piling sequences and daily work activities with the Project Manager and site team.
• Complete pile records and pile logs accurately and within required timescales.
• Maintain and update concrete cube registers and associated quality documentation.
• Raise, manage and close out non-conformance reports (NCRs) where required.
• Ensure all records, inspections and quality documentation are completed to project standards.
• Support safe delivery of works in accordance with company and client procedures.

Contracts Engineer - Piling Location: Central , London Rate: £300 - £340 per day (Ltd Company) Duration: 12 Weeks Start Date: ASAP Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Contract Engineer to join a specialist piling contractor on a major infrastructure project near King's Cross Station. The project involves the construction of a secant piled wall. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with piling and geotechnical experience to support the delivery of a technically challenging scheme during a critical phase of works.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality assurance and quality control activities for allocated piling operations.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate effectively with operational teams.
• CSCS Card essential.
