Job summary

PWS Technical Services (UK) Ltd is seeking a Contracts Engineer to oversee ground and geotechnical projects. The role involves leading a site-based team, ensuring safe and profitable delivery while coordinating with the regional team and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will manage technical and commercial issues, attend client and site meetings, and contribute to pre-tender activities. A strong hands-on, pragmatic approach and experience across piling, foundations or ground engineering

Qualifications

Experience in contracts/projects/site role within ground engineering (consultancy or contractor).
Diplomatic, pragmatic approach with hands-on attitude to clients and teams.
Exposure to various contracts and ability to lead from the front.

Responsibilities

Plan, programme and deliver contracts with regional team and subcontractors.
Lead projects from order receipt to completion and review designs for buildability.
Attend contract and site meetings to ensure smooth contract execution.
Inspect works to ensure QA conformance and correct designs.
Ensure HSEQ plans and RAMS are prepared for contracts.
Provide progress reports and suggest delivery improvements.
Contribute to estimates and pre-tender proposals as required.
Support commercial with information for variations and final accounts.
