Euro Projects Recruitment Ltd. is recruiting for a Contracts Engineer role covering the West Midlands / Southwest (ideally surrounding areas).

The position is full-time, 39 hours per week, with a base salary of £40,000–£50,000 plus commission and an OTE of £15k–£20k, plus a BMW company car and benefits. The role suits candidates with engineering and sales mindset and a willingness to engage with customers on-site.

Qualifications

• Commercially minded engineer with sales / proposals exposure.
• Experience in industrial equipment / dust extraction / filtration is preferred.
• Ability to engage customers and understand technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and warm sales enquiries and convert to orders.
• Visit customer sites to survey, measure, and specify engineered solutions.
• Liaise with engineering and service teams to deliver the right solution.

• 39-hour week – Full-time, permanent role – Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–1:30pm (some flexibility)
• Well-established, family-owned engineering business specialising in the design & manufacture of filtration systems for industrial and commercial clients.
• Strong reputation for improving factory efficiency, safety and environmental performance, supported by a hands‑on and supportive leadership team.

Your background as a Contracts Engineer:

• This would suit a Contracts Engineer, Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Project Engineer or similar who enjoys a bit of sales / wants to pivot.
• A commercially minded individual with a background in engineering, preferably within the same industry or similar (industrial equipment / dust extraction / filtration etc).
• Comfortable working in a consultative, solution‑led sales environment
• Confident engaging with customers on‑site and understanding technical requirements
• Strong communication skills with a practical, hands‑on approach
• Full UK driving licence (ideally no points)

Contracts Engineer responsibilities:

• Manage predominantly inbound and warm sales enquiries (minimal cold calling)
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements and convert enquiries into orders.
• Visit customer sites to survey, measure and specify engineered solutions
• Liaise with internal engineering and service teams to deliver the right solution

This Contracts Engineer role will mainly cover the West Midlands / Southwest / possibly parts of Wales. The offices are based in Leicester, so we are very open to location given the nature of the role – but ideally West Midlands & surrounding areas.
