Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Contracts Engineer to join a well-established, family-owned engineering business in the West Midlands region. The role covers the design and manufacture of filtration systems for industrial and commercial clients, with a UK-wide focus on securing engineered solutions.

The position offers a 39-hour week (full-time) with a salary of £40,000–£50,000 plus Commission (£15k–£20k OTE) and a BMW Company Car, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Engineering background in industrial equipment or filtration preferred.
• Commercially minded with experience in consultative sales.
• Full UK driving licence (ideal: no points).

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound and warm sales enquiries.
• Work with customers to convert enquiries into orders.
• Visit customer sites to survey, measure and specify engineered solutions.
• Liaise with internal engineering and service teams to deliver the right solution.

• 39-hour week – Full-time, permanent role – Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–1:30pm (some flexibility)

Your background as a Contracts Engineer:

• This would suit a Contracts Engineer, Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Proposals Engineer, Project Engineer or similar who enjoys a bit of sales / wants to pivot.
• A commercially minded individual with a background in engineering, preferably within the same industry or similar (industrial equipment / dust extraction / filtration etc).
• Comfortable working in a consultative, solution-led sales environment
• Confident engaging with customers on-site and understanding technical requirements
• Strong communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach
• Full UK driving licence (ideally no points)

Contracts Engineer responsibilities:

• Manage predominantly inbound and warm sales enquiries (minimal cold calling)
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements and convert enquiries into orders.
• Visit customer sites to survey, measure and specify engineered solutions
• Liaise with internal engineering and service teams to deliver the right solution

This Contracts Engineer role will mainly cover the West Midlands / Southwest / possibly parts of Wales. The offices are based in Leicester, so we are very open to location given the nature of the role – but ideally West Midlands & surrounding areas.
