Job summary

Arguile in Glasgow is seeking a Commercial Contract Manager to lead a portfolio of contracts in the 200mil+ region, with hybrid working and occasional travel to the office.

The role focuses on contract negotiation, risk and financial management, with collaboration across finance, operations and technical teams to ensure compliance and successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a pre contract signature environment.
• Experience of working closely with finance, operations and technical specialists.
• Sector experience is not essential.
• Strong legal and financial skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure understanding and potential impact.
• Review, draft, update and maintain contract documents.
• Monitor and report performance and compliance against contractual obligations including financial management.
• Support change management processes and report progress on changes and projects.
• Prevent and resolve contractual disputes and assure adherence to policy.

Our client, an international business, currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Contract Manager to lead on a portfolio of contracts in the 200mil+ region. This is a unique opportunity, looking for a senior commercial professional who is keen to progress to the next level of their career.

The company have a long and successful history of delivering large projects to various private and public sectors clients. The role is predominantly focussed on the negotiation of new business, from a commercial perspective, this is not a sales role.

You will:

• Identify the risks, liabilities, and commitments of contractual agreements; ensure these are clearly understood and that the business fully appreciates any potential impact.
• Review, draft, update and maintain contract documents
• Monitor and report performance and compliance against contractual obligations including commercial performance, financial management and contract management
• Work with the contract delivery teams to ensure that the management of change request process and change implementation is carried out in line with the contracts.
• Report on progress of change requests and projects
• Review contract performance, assessing commercial risks and ensuring appropriate steps are taken to manage the risk
• Prevent and resolve contractual disputes
• Assuring adherence to Group Commercial Policy
• Supporting the client engagement teams in all commercial aspects, post contract signature, to achieve the orders, profit and cash budget and overall management of the Client relationship.
• Support the delivery streams who are responsible for the delivery of projects and provide clear direction working with the client engagement team.
• This is not a sales role
