Job summary

SGN is seeking a Lead Commercial Manager for its Procurement & Supply Chain team in the Glasgow/Edinburgh region. The role is full-time with hybrid work arrangements and offers exposure to senior stakeholders across legal, operations and finance.

You will drive long-term contract strategy, lead a team of professionals, and continuously improve commercial processes to maximise value in a regulated energy environment.

Qualifications

• Background in Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Commercial Management or Law.
• Innovative commercial thinking in a regulated environment.
• Ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Apply your expertise to support long-term and strategic contracts.
• Lead and grow a team of procurement and commercial professionals.
• Enhance existing commercial processes and procedures for robust management.
• Introduce value engineering to drive value and efficiency for SGN and its supply chain.
• Develop and lead teams to deliver sustainable contract strategies.
• Manage contract administration across NEC3/4 and bespoke agreements on infra projects.
• Develop tender documentation to support project delivery.
• Liaise with Legal, Operations and Finance stakeholders.
• Contribute to reporting on commercial performance for senior leaders.
• Understand contract risk profiles and implement mitigations.
