Job summary

Randstad CPE London is seeking a Contractors Engineering Manager - Rail to lead civils delivery on major rail projects. The role focuses on construction delivery rather than design, managing civils works and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams on site.

The successful candidate will have prior CEM status, a civil engineering background and strong knowledge of standards and procedures to ensure on-site quality and safety across projects.

Qualifications

• Education to HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent suitable experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of civils and related engineering principles, including interfaces between disciplines.
• Held CEM status previously.
• Good knowledge and understanding of standards, processes and procedures.

• Undertaking the role of an engineer on delivery works.
• Act as CEM managing a team of CREs.
• Carrying out engineering responsibilities in project from start to finish.

Role

You will be expected work within the rail aspects of delivery and associated works with the other disciplines and to deliver construction work safely to the level of quality expected. This role will be to manage works with a focus on civils at delivery stage of major projects. This is construction rather than design led within Civils and rail systems.
