Job summary

Advance Training & Recruitment Services is seeking a CEM for rail civils to work across Birmingham, Oxford and Bedford. The contract role involves delivering civil works on major rail projects, focusing on delivery-stage civils rather than design.

You will lead a team of CREs, oversee engineering activities from start to finish, and ensure onsite technical compliance and quality control within a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Education to HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent suitable experience.
• CEM status previously held is desirable.
• Good knowledge of civils and interfaces between disciplines.
• Familiarity with standards, processes and procedures.

• Undertaking the role of an engineer on delivery works.
• Act as CEM managing a team of CREs.
• Carrying out engineering responsibilities from start to finish of the project.

Job title: CEM – Rail Civils

Rate: Dependant on experience

Role

You will be expected work within the rail aspects of delivery and associated works with the other disciplines and to deliver construction work safely to the level of quality expected. This role will be to manage works with a focus on civils at delivery stage of major projects. This is construction rather than design led within Civils and rail systems.

Essential requirements:

• Education to HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or equivalent suitable experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of civils and related engineering principles, including interfaces between disciplines.
• Held CEM status previously
• Good knowledge and understanding of standards, processes and procedures.
