Job Overview

As a third-party host, your primary responsibility will be to effectively manage and coordinate the activities of specialist subcontractors working on the pharmaceutical site. You will act as the central point of contact, ensuring seamless integration of their work with the site's operational requirements, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance. Your electrical qualifications will be crucial for understanding the technical aspects of their work and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Subcontractor Coordination: Acting as the primary point of contact for all engineering subcontractors on site.
  2. Induction & Onboarding: Ensuring subcontractors are properly inducted, understand site rules, safety procedures, and work requirements.
  3. Work Planning & Scheduling: Collaborating with the site team and subcontractors to plan and schedule activities, minimizing disruption.
  4. Permit to Work Management: Overseeing permit processes for subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance.
  5. Technical Oversight (Electrical): Using your electrical knowledge to review proposals, risk assessments, and method statements for technical accuracy and safety.
  6. Quality Assurance: Monitoring subcontractor work to meet standards and specifications.
  7. Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Tracking progress, identifying delays, and reporting to management.
  8. Communication & Collaboration: Maintaining effective communication with subcontractors, internal teams, and clients.
  9. Issue Resolution: Acting as the first point of contact for issues, facilitating resolutions.
  10. Compliance & Safety: Ensuring adherence to health, safety, environmental regulations, and GMP where applicable.
About You:
  • Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a technical engineering role.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in IT systems and software.
  • Experience in subcontractor management or coordination.
  • Knowledge of permit to work systems.
  • Familiarity with GMP or similar regulated environments.
  • Experience in facilities management or pharmaceutical industry.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
