Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Transport Planner in Edmonton to coordinate daily deliveries and collections, allocating work to drivers and ensuring a reliable service. The role is temporary for about three months, with an immediate start and full-time hours.

This position requires good planning, strong communication, and familiarity with planning software. You will interact with customers, drivers and suppliers to keep schedules on track.

Qualifications

• Previous transport planning or coordination experience.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of UK geography and route planning.
• Experience with vehicles from 3.5T up to HGV Class 1.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily deliveries and collections and allocate work to drivers.
• Book customer delivery and collection slots and provide ETA updates.
• Liaise with customers, drivers, suppliers and third-party transport providers.
• Produce regular transport reports and ensure on-time departures and completed collections.
