Job summary

HRC Recruitment is partnering with a client to recruit a Qualified Accountant for an immediate 6-month contract within a well-established finance team. You will be involved in broad financial accounting activities and collaborate with stakeholders across the business.

Candidates with experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting, VAT, compliance, audit or external reporting are encouraged to apply. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements, plus on-site parking, are offered.

Qualifications

• Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CIMA or equivalent).
• Have previous financial accounting experience.
• Possess strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Have strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
• Be available to start at short notice or immediately.
• Experience of statutory reporting, VAT, tax or audit activities would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Financial accounting and month-end reporting.
• Preparation of statutory accounts and financial statements.
• VAT and compliance-related reporting activities.
• Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Audit preparation and support.
• Supporting process improvement initiatives across the finance function.
• Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
• Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements.
