Job summary

New Appointments Group Ltd in Daventry seeks a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join a well-established finance team at the UK Logistics Centre. This is a temporary 3-month assignment with a hybrid pattern (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).

You will support financial accounting, reporting and month-end activities, including lease accounting, payroll journals, reconciliations and reporting, plus corporate reporting and tax preparation, while maintaining internal controls.

Qualifications

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Degree/qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Good Excel skills are essential.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualified / Part-Qualified Accountant - Temporary Contract

Location: Daventry, UK

Contract: 3 months

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote

The Role

We are recruiting for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join a well-established finance team based at our clients UK Logistics Centre in Daventry. This is a temporary 3-month assignment, offering a hybrid working pattern.

• Payroll journals, reconciliations and reporting
• Monthly and quarterly corporate reporting
• PSA return preparation and PII variance analysis
• Month-end close and Balance Sheet reviews

• Financial analysis, variance investigation and internal controls
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial and tax regulations

About You

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Degree/qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience

• Experience with Oracle, Power BI or Power Query would be advantageous but is not essential
• Able to work independently and manage deadlines effectively
