Job summary

Astute Recruitment is seeking a qualified Accountant to join an established group accounting function responsible for accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting, while supporting process improvements.

Duties include cost centre reporting, month-end closure, VAT and tax within a UK organisation, support with annual plans and forecasts, group reporting, statutory accounts, and providing financial insight to business functions.

Qualifications

• Qualified (or finalist) ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
• Experience in UK organisation with financial accounting, VAT and tax.
• Experience in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and reporting.
• Able to build relationships at all levels in the organisation.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritise changing demands.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Financial accounting and control for cost centres and underlying transactional processes.
• Support with annual management plan and forecasts.
• Provide financial reports and support business functions.
• Financial accounting and month-end closure.
• Financial accounting and control of head office cost recharges.
• Support with monthly group reporting and preparation of statutory accounts.
