Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Limited in Basildon, Essex, is seeking a Network Systems Engineer on a 6‑month contract. You’ll configure systems, support trials, and help design robust lab network architectures with a hands-on approach.

You’ll work closely with the Lead Systems Engineer and broader technical teams to ensure delivery to exacting standards and secure networked environments in engineering projects. Contract role with a rate up to £74 p/h outside IR35, based in Basildon, Essex.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the OSI model.
• Solid IPv4 addressing knowledge.
• Experience configuring VLANs.
• Hands-on network deployment and lab rollout experience.
• Familiarity with NetConf for device configuration.
• Awareness of network security principles.
• Desirable: experience with safety-critical networks.
• Desirable: knowledge of TSN technologies.

Responsibilities

• Configure systems in line with Lead Systems Engineer specifications.
• Provide technical assistance during trials and test activities.
• Support the creation of lab network architectures for lab environments.
• Assist in maintaining and developing lab infrastructure and environments.
