Job summary

IC Resources is seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer for a major UK defence programme in Basildon. The role is hybrid, requiring 3–5 days on-site, focusing on secure network design, implementation and support across enterprise environments.

You will work across network architecture, lab infrastructure and trials to deliver robust, secure networking solutions. Candidates should have strong TCP/IP, IPv4, VLAN and Cisco experience, plus NetConf familiarity and a lab/test environment

Qualifications

• Experience designing and supporting secure enterprise networks.

I'm currently supporting a major UK defence organisation as they expand their secure networking capability and are looking for an experienced Principal Systems Engineer with a strong networking background.

This role focuses on the design, implementation and support of secure enterprise network environments, working across network architecture, lab infrastructure and integration activities.

We're keen to speak with engineers who have experience of:

• TCP/IP & the OSI Model
• IPv4 Addressing
• VLAN Configuration
• Network Implementation & Deployment
• Cisco or enterprise networking environments
• NetConf
• Lab or test environments
• Network Security
• Safety Critical or Time Sensitive Networks (desirable)

You'll be supporting the design and maintenance of Leonardo's lab infrastructure, configuring systems, supporting trials activities and helping deliver secure networking solutions for complex engineering programmes.

SC Clearance is desirable, although British Nationals eligible for clearance are encouraged to apply.
