Join us as Contract Manager, with law as your core skillset, supporting our operations within the Business Unit High Voltage in Birmingham, UK. With an analytical, hands-on, and autonomous approach, you will contribute to the successful performance of Contract Management during tendering and project execution phases. Please note: This position is hybrid (2/3 days in the office), with limited travel within the UK & Ireland. We are unable to provide visa support. To make a significant impact, experience with legal elements is required.

How You'll Make An Impact

1. Ensure the portfolio of contracts complies with contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standards.
2. Review and comment on commercial and technical tender terms and conditions. Develop contract strategies based on company policies, customer needs, and project risks.
3. Identify contract baselines and highlight potential risks. Ensure timely execution of contractual obligations, including payments, claims, variations, warranties, and guarantees.
4. Verify contractual compliance and assess contract success, documenting lessons learned.
5. Analyze prime contract terms for opportunities and risks, developing mitigation and opportunity plans in collaboration with project teams.
6. Manage incoming claims, develop defense strategies, and prepare responses and counterclaims.
7. Analyze legal issues and provide contractual advice and support to business units.
8. Deliver contractual training and interact directly with internal clients and external parties.

Your Background

• Degree in law or equivalent qualification.
• 3-6 years in Contract Management within project execution of EPC energy projects or similar industrial plants.
• Site Contract Management experience of 2-3 years is preferred.
• Experience working with international teams and contractual partners.
• Knowledge of change management, claim management, and legal issues related to contracts.
• Ability to work ethically across different cultures.
• Systematic and structured work approach.
