Job description

QHSE:

  • Manage public and commercial buildings effectively and efficiently, meeting the requirements and expectations of the Customers Team within the boundaries of the contract.
  • Carry out auditing to our quality systems including: NICEIC, SHEQ, Compliance, and workmanship inspections.
  • Maintain a consistent high level of engineering standards.
  • Continual incremental improvements of services provided to the Customers.
  • Attend regular meetings with the Customers to discuss and appraise the Contracts performance.
  • Manage and oversee the CAFM system.
  • Ensure all operatives are provided with the necessary resources, materials, tools, and information to enable them to carry out their duties and ensure that safe working practices are adhered to.

OPERATIONAL:

  • Ensure continuity of operatives' rotas, with an escalation procedure in place, and routine call-outs and holiday periods covered accordingly.
  • Support projects, small works, and reactive works requests.
  • Provide support for statutory compliance and planned maintenance activities.
  • Review innovation and energy-saving initiatives.
  • Reconcile and provide monthly financial applications to the Customer.
  • Manage WIP to avoid financial penalties.

COMMERCIAL:

  • Work within operational budgets and constraints.
  • Provide costs for capital projects and plant replacement schemes.
  • Manage debt.
  • Assist in appointing subcontractors.
  • Assist in providing budget information and compiling financial reports.
  • Review subcontractor performance and billing applications.

HR/STAFFING/TRAINING:

  • Act as the immediate focal point for all matters relating to the company's business.
  • Manage staff mentoring, training, recruitment, sickness, holidays, disciplinary, and grievance management.
  • Ensure continuity of statutory training for all operatives undertaking work of this nature.

ESSENTIAL:

  • Minimum of one trade qualification, with emphasis on Mechanical/Fabric Installations.
  • Electrical ACOP for Commercial and Domestic Gas, Oftec Oil, and competent fault finding on BMS and Control Systems.
  • Knowledge of cyclical maintenance and task-based systems.

Qualifications / Person Specification:

  • Excellent customer interface skills and communication skills.
  • Organised, able to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Proficient in IT documentation in Microsoft Office/Excel packages.
  • Monitor IT systems, paperwork, and contractual/company processes regarding all Contract and Business Units requirements.
  • Respond and administer paperwork systems to ensure the workforce adheres to all planned maintenance, reactive, and quoted works as required.
