Salary: up to £55,795.00 per annum, plus car allowance

The SHDF project aims to enhance the quality and sustainability of social housing by improving standards and implementing energy-saving solutions for the community. Our dedicated team will lead efforts to increase energy efficiency and improve residents' living standards.

About the Role:

As a Contract Manager, you will work within our planned works team to ensure the delivery of a stable and profitable contract, providing excellent service and support through our local teams, emphasizing teamwork for the benefit of the community.

You will support the General Manager in delivering high-quality capital and programmed works, or built environment services to housing client properties. You will ensure teams operate to Mears standards and deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to safety, quality, and budget standards.

• Manage all aspects of operational and commercial delivery, ensuring contract performance aligns with commitments and protocols.
• Oversee works to programme timelines, and produce updates related to budget, cash flow, work schedules, and health & safety.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, Mears procedures, and quality standards, maintaining best practices and legislation adherence.
• Manage direct labour and supply chain resources, seeking efficiencies and productivity improvements, and collaborating with procurement to maximize benefits.
• Complete and adhere to reporting protocols within required timescales.
• Promote a customer-focused culture across all activities, maintaining high standards in communication, site appearance, and safety.
• Achieve high customer satisfaction levels and meet contractual KPIs, following Mears procedures.
• Manage and develop staff performance, ensuring proper asset management and HR policy compliance.
• Provide accurate reports to management and build strong relationships with clients and communities, offering feedback on project delivery and market trends.

Role Criteria:

• Proven experience in capital/programmed works or repairs and maintenance management.
• Strong performance and commercial management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and contracts.
• Experience in customer-focused environments.
• Skills in motivating diverse teams, and establishing strong governance and risk control environments.

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK; Mears does not sponsor visas. To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held a license for over 3 months, and have less than 9 points. All roles require DBS/Security checks prior to employment.
