Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Solutions Design Manager to lead the development of innovative contract logistics solutions across the UK and Ireland. You will work with sales and operations to design end-to-end warehousing and logistics concepts, leveraging data to drive decisions and value for customers.

You will engage across functions in a fast-paced, multinational environment, applying expertise in WMS, automation, and process optimisation to deliver scalable, commercially viable proposals.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in designing 3PL/contract logistics solutions.
• Strong understanding of international supply chains and value drivers for customers.
• Knowledge of warehouse automation and layout design principles.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end contract logistics solutions including layouts and cost models.
• Develop innovative logistics concepts and value propositions.
• Analyse large data sets to support solution development and decisions.
• Conduct capacity planning, resource modelling and financial modelling.
• Develop robust business cases and demand forecasts.
• Design and optimise process flows and operational methodologies.
• Create facility layouts using AutoCAD or SketchUp.
• Engage in the sales process providing technical expertise.
• Lead solution design deliverables, manage risks and dependencies.
• Build relationships with customers and stakeholders to secure alignment.
• Maintain market and product knowledge and share best practices.
