Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking an Implementation Design Manager for a contract role in Plymouth, operating in a highly regulated environment. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensure design documentation meets standards, support planning, budgets and safety compliance, and coordinate with Technical Authorities to apply best practice.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status, nuclear knowledge, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage safety-critical

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline (or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer status, working towards Chartered Engineer status, or equivalent experience.
• Nuclear introductory course or equivalent nuclear/marine systems knowledge.
• Sound understanding of industry legislation, codes and standards.
• Experience of design management, systems engineering, planning and budgetary control.

Responsibilities

• Lead leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary engineering resources.
• Monitor production and quality of engineering deliverables.
• Ensure activities comply with legislation, codes, standards and procedures.
• Plan, budget and manage resources for project delivery.
• Maintain robust configuration management and project records.
