Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a skilled engineer to support the Design and Safety Manager on the Devonport submarine and warship project scope. The role involves coordinating technical work packages, ensuring design documentation meets standards, and managing quality and records across budgeted activities.

The position emphasizes safety culture, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with Engineering Services to apply best practices in a nuclear licensed environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartered engineer is preferred.
• Nuclear intro knowledge or marine systems knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the Design and Safety Manager in delivering project scope and overseeing technical work packages.
• Ensure design documentation covers project scope and complies with standards, schedule and budget.
• Plan for effective project implementation and support the technical planning process.
• Maintain quality management arrangements and document control in line with procedures.
• Assist with health, safety and environmental considerations in design.
• Liaise with Engineering Services Technical Authority to apply good practice.
