Contract Hire Sales Manager - Centurion Truck Rental - South of England

Centurion Truck Rental is one of the UK’s leading service providers in the field of commercial vehicle rental, leasing, and contract hire. Established in the mid-1990s, Centurion has developed strong relationships in major UK industries including Transport, Retail, and Manufacturing, as well as maintaining a strong presence with commercial SMEs.

Originally from a single location, now their head office is in Middleton, Manchester. They operate from 14 locations and provide a 24/7 vehicle hire service throughout the UK.

As part of Ballyvesey Holdings, Centurion benefits from economies of scale, enabling competitive pricing and value for customers in a capital-intensive environment.

We are seeking an ambitious Contract Hire Manager to join our team and support our growth. Working closely with management and the wider leadership team, you will focus on expanding our customer base and enhancing customer experience. Responsibilities include growing new business and managing existing key accounts, along with leading the sales team to align with company goals.

This role involves customer-facing activities and some office work, working with a depot manager to maintain and grow a business portfolio and acquire new customers in the South of England.

This is a progression-oriented role with opportunities for growth within the BVH Group. You will receive support from the UK senior leadership team to foster your professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and secure long-term rental and contract hire agreements for our trailer fleet.
  • Set, agree, and meet area sales objectives through customer acquisition, negotiations, lead conversions, and performance reviews.
  • Provide feedback and market intelligence on customer, competitor, and industry activity.
  • Propose innovative ideas to promote the business within your area and beyond.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operational teams to deliver a world-class contract hire service.
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales data in CRM systems.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets consistently.
