Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is recruiting a Financial Analyst for a Darlington-based project on a contract basis until 21 January 2027. The role focuses on month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate will have a finance degree, intermediate experience, strong analytical skills and the ability to present financial information clearly to stakeholders. This is a contract opportunity with immediate impact.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
• Intermediate level finance experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders.
• Progress toward a recognised qualification (CPA, CMA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end financial activities to support the production of monthly financial statements.
• Prepare detailed financial analyses and management reports.
• Support departmental management with financial reporting and decision-making.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and expense forecasts.
• Produce staffing forecasts and statistical reports.
• Analyse financial performance and identify key trends.
• Provide variance analysis and explanations.
• Conduct cost analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure financial information is accurate, timely and compliant with internal requirements.
