Job summary

Howden is seeking a contractor to join the External Reporting team for a 12-month FTC. You will be onsite 2-3 days per week, reporting to the Head of External Reporting, and will support group consolidation, monthly management accounts, and lender reporting.

Responsibilities include producing IFRS consolidated results, posting journals, and assisting with annual statutory accounts and audits, while adapting to a dynamic group structure and new acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and relevant UK Law.
• Experience in large multi-currency group consolidations.
• Experience using OneStream or HFM and Unit4 or ability to learn reporting tools quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality of deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and group consolidation for external reporting.
• Prepare and post consolidation journals (including IA amortisation, deferred tax, intercompany eliminations).
• Analyze consolidated P&L and balance sheet movements vs prior month and budget; escalate discrepancies.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and coordinate with divisions to improve quality.
• Assist with revenue recognition under IFRS 15 and integration of new acquisitions.
• Assist with annual statutory accounts and detailed note workings; support year-end audit.
