Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Contract Engineering Lead for the Nuclear New Build project at Aztec West, Bristol. You will oversee design surveillance of the Auxiliary Boiler building, reviewing subcontractor work and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to enable commissioning.

The role emphasizes design coordination, contract management, and effective liaison with Project Managers and external suppliers across the civil, MEH, and utility scopes.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil/structural/architectural or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in design management and coordination on large multi-discipline infrastructure projects.
• UK project experience; awareness of nuclear safety constraints (CDM 2015).

Responsibilities

• Act as an all-round engineering lead with a focus on coordination across multiple teams and suppliers.
• Provide technical management of contracts and act as main liaison for project managers from civil, MEH programmes.
• Review and check design work for compliance with project requirements and contract specs.
• Coordinate design teams to keep project activities aligned and ensure configuration control processes are followed.
• Lead resolution of cross-programme engineering issues and ensure deliverables meet contract technical specifications.
• Support the project through from design completion into commissioning with external suppliers.
