Job summary

Morson Edge is recruiting a Contract Engineering Lead for Sizewell C to join the Design Delivery Management Site Buildings team in London. You will oversee design delivery from basic design to detailed design, coordinating with external designers and SZC project partners to ensure safe, compliant outputs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing design delivery against nuclear safety and/or security requirements.
• Experience designing facilities to withstand hazards and meet security requirements.
• Strong design management and coordination across large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Solid technical knowledge of building design and construction.
• Excellent knowledge of UK building standards and engineering procedures.
• Awareness of nuclear safety-related constraints and requirements.
• Experience in UK regulatory and engineering environment.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive problem solving and leadership qualities.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery for SZC2203/2205 contracts within the Design Delivery Management team.
• Coordinate technical assessments and develop technical specifications for design studies.
• Manage Contract Partner deliverables, schedules and interfaces with Civil Programme Project Managers.
• Provide technical guidance, risk/issue management and constructability insights.
• Support design gateways, design reviews and Readiness Review processes.
• Liaise with Contract Partners, SZC project team and external designers to ensure safety and quality.
