Job summary

Aldwych Consulting invites applications for a Contract Civil / Highways Design Engineer based in London with a fully remote option. The role focuses on delivering highway and development infrastructure designs with an outside IR35 engagement and competitive hourly rate.

The successful candidate will produce detailed designs, manage drainage and road schemes, and coordinate with other disciplines from design through to approval, while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience working within a civil engineering consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of highways and development infrastructure design.
• Experience with Section 278 and Section 38 schemes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• The ability to work independently and deliver designs to project deadlines.

Contract Civil / Highways Design Engineer

Location: London (fully remote option)
Rate: £35-£40 per hour
Contract: Outside IR35

An opportunity has arisen for a Contract Senior Civil Engineer to join an established consultancy, supporting a range of highways and development infrastructure projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer looking for a flexible, fully remote contract, with the engagement expected to be outside IR35.

The Role

• Delivering civil engineering design for highways and development infrastructure projects.
• Producing detailed designs for roads, drainage and associated infrastructure.
• Working on Section 278 and Section 38 highway schemes.
• Preparing technical drawings and design information using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
