Job Description

We are recruiting for a Contract Assistant Paralegal to join our FSDI in Belfast. As a Contract Assistant Paralegal, you will report to a team manager and work as part of a team of assistant paralegals and paralegals. This role requires office attendance in Belfast. It is a day rate contract working via an Umbrella company.

Your Role

• Open files, conflict check, organize documents, and manage ongoing file tasks such as electronic filing, printing, scanning, and closing.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets, databases, portals, and perform graphic-based analysis.
• Order documents from the Land Registry.
• Handle billing and coordinate payments to third parties.
• Engage in pre-litigation activities including issuing letter before claims, correspondence, instructing trace reports, and conducting investigations.
• Liaise with customers, clients, and third parties.
• Support paralegals with issuing claims for Judgment/Decree, Statutory Demands, and Enforcement of Judgment/Decree.
• Assist the team manager with assigned tasks.

Your Skills and Experience

• Good communication skills (oral and written).
• Accurate, well-organized, and flexible.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy team.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with PDF is a plus.
