Job Overview

Working to support clients across the campus of two distribution centres, the purpose of this role is to drive continuous improvement activity in the areas of service, systems and processes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Account Management, Customer Service, Business Solutions, Operations and IT functions to identify and drive CI opportunities, deliver and act upon root cause analyses and implement robust corrective actions in the case of service failures.

Job Responsibilities
  • Using direct feedback from client and other TVS functions, identify root cause of any failure trends and coordinate follow up actions across the business.
  • Continually analyse and improve existing processes, driving and implementing change across the relevant TVS departments and within the client base.
  • Create and implement new processes across the clients’ supply chains.
  • Create reports in conjunction with the Business Analysts to effectively measure success.
  • Use tools such as A3 to drive improvement projects.
  • In the case of major service failures, take ownership of and coordinate the resolution across TVS and its partners.
  • Attend monthly meetings with CI Champions across the business to ensure process improvements are followed through.
  • Work closely with IT to ensure that opportunities for system development and automation are fully investigated and driven through to completion where appropriate.
  • Attend meetings with Senior Leadership Team and clients as a SME when required.
  • Attend monthly Account Review Meetings and report on current and delivered initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills

Knowledge, Qualifications and Skill

  • Educated to a minimum of A Level standard or equivalent.
  • Highly analytical with strong data management skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and techniques and/or proven track record of delivering improvement projects.
  • Determination, resilience and tenacity.
  • Enthusiastic to create change.
  • Able to quickly identify risks and trends.
  • Able to provide innovative and well thought out solutions.
  • Good influencing, questioning and relationship management skills.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • Project management skills.
  • Understanding of Utilities / Smart Metering operations would be an advantage but is not essential.

Experience

  • Experience of complex supply chain/logistics operations is important.
  • Experience of Smart Metering is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven track record of delivering service or process improvements in a complex and fast paced environment.
  • Proven ability to create service levels that delight customers.
