Test and Commissioning Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Test and Commissioning Manager for a machinery manufacturer based in Hook, Basingstoke. In this role, you will oversee the implementation of manufacturing improvements by collaborating with various departments, striving for excellence and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain open communication with managers, staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee monthly production schedules, aligning with customer deadlines to improve lead time accuracy.
  • Ensure team members stay updated with product knowledge and technical skills.
  • Implement and maintain effective processes and procedures within your area of responsibility.
  • Promote reporting of non-conformance and near-misses, leading root cause analysis when necessary.
  • Support and develop team members to reach their full potential.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining overall responsibility and control.
  • Continuously assess and improve team efficiency.
  • Manage daily operations, ensuring high safety and manufacturing standards.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and address performance issues proactively.
  • Communicate objectives, expectations, and strategic goals clearly to the team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing.

Salary & Benefits

Salary ranges from £40,000 to £43,000 depending on experience.

Benefits include free lunch (sandwiches, baguettes, salads, hot food), holiday entitlement, a non-contractual bonus equivalent to one month's salary, and a company shutdown during Christmas (3 days of holiday).
