Job summary

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing – a leading engineering and manufacturing business – is seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to lead operational excellence initiatives across a complex manufacturing environment in Sheffield. You will drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity and cost performance.

The role calls for a proven track record in CI/Lean, strong analytical and project management skills, and the ability to coach teams in CI methodologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, or Lean Manufacturing role.
• Strong understanding of Lean tools and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the site's Continuous Improvement strategy.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, and waste reduction activities.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Analyse KPIs and operational data to drive performance improvements.
• Lead structured problem-solving activities including Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, PDCA, and DMAIC.
• Coach and develop teams in Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Support automation, capital investment, and business improvement projects.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

Reed Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager.
