Are you passionate about improving HR generalist processes, designing and implementing innovative technology-led solutions, and enabling best-in-class service delivery?

The role is based at our Bolton HQ with flexibility around hybrid working.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our high-performing People Team.

In this newly created role, you will focus on how we can optimise our processes and services to align our generalist people operations with organizational goals, enhance customer experience, leverage technology to streamline processes, and use data and insights to improve business performance.

The role will be key in ensuring the delivery of high-quality generalist people processes by identifying inefficiencies, implementing innovative solutions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities and Measures

Process Optimisation; Analyse, redesign, and implement standardized HR generalist shared services processes to support the business, providing efficiency, reducing manual effort, and ensuring standardization.
Performance Monitoring and Analytics; Work with KPIs, data, and analytics to identify trends, measure impact, and inform decision-making. Generate actionable reports, dashboards, and insights on query resolution, cost per transaction, and customer satisfaction activities.
Implementation of Automation and Technology; Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to identify and implement automation and digitization opportunities, supporting the introduction of new HR systems and tools to improve efficiency and user experience.
Driving a Culture of Continuous Improvement; Promote lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to embed continuous improvement within the team. Develop team capability through workshops and training, champion change, and foster a culture of sharing best practices.
Customer Experience Enhancement; Gather feedback from key stakeholders and implement initiatives to improve customer experience, monitor satisfaction metrics, and proactively address areas of concern.
Project Management; Lead the identification, prioritization, and management of key improvement initiatives using strong project management methodologies and effective communication with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration; Partner with our People Services, wider People Team, and other stakeholders to understand issues, facilitate cross-functional collaboration, and communicate the value of improvement initiatives.
CPD; Maintain your own continuous professional development (CPD) and stay informed of best practices. Identify CPD opportunities, share knowledge, and encourage team development.

  • Proven track record in a continuous improvement role, ideally within an HR shared services environment.
  • Experience in designing and implementing process improvements, digitization, and automation solutions.
  • Success in leading cross-functional projects and driving cultural change.
  • Familiarity with HR metrics, performance monitoring, and customer experience enhancement.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in HR operations and shared services.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focused on process optimization.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and HR analytics tools.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Technical aptitude and familiarity with HR systems and automation tools.
  • You will be required to review operational performance, seeking effectiveness and efficiency improvements through innovation and continuous improvement.
