Job summary

Zest is recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer at a major food manufacturing site near Cambridge. You will support new machinery, product launches and ongoing CI activity across site.

You’ll be a key stakeholder on projects, work hands-on on the shop floor, and act as a go-between for the engineering team while keeping processes sharp through RCA and CI initiatives.

Qualifications

• A hands-on engineering background within manufacturing or food production.
• Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement (CI).
• Comfortable working across projects and on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Acting as a stakeholder across projects: new machines, launches, and new SKUs
• Being present at launches, and understanding customer trials and visits
• Acting as a go-between, stepping in for engineers when needed
• Keeping hands-on skills current through RCA and CI work on existing machines
• Taking a pragmatic approach, picking off low-hanging fruit and getting hands dirty where needed

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to support new machinery, product launches, and ongoing CI activity across site.
