Job summary

The Collective Network Limited is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to enhance machinery reliability and drive site performance in Cambridgeshire. You will lead root-cause analysis, identify inefficiencies, and implement engineering solutions across a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to maximize equipment uptime, support site upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience within Food, FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• A strong multi-skilled engineering background.
• An engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Drive machinery reliability across the site, reducing recurring failures and increasing uptime.
• Identify inefficiencies and implement engineering solutions that deliver measurable improvements.
• Use downtime trends and maintenance data to eliminate root causes-not just fix the symptoms.
• Improve maintenance strategies to maximise equipment performance.
• Work alongside Engineering and Production to increase efficiency and overall equipment reliability.
• Support machinery upgrades, site investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
