Job summary

Telestack is seeking a Continuous Improvement Design Engineer in the UK to drive engineering design from concept to production for material handling equipment, including tracked conveyors and telescopic stackers. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop solutions, manage projects, and improve existing products.

The role focuses on delivering engineered-to-order designs, supporting service and procurement, and implementing safety evaluations across the product line.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Agriculture, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in equipment design and manufacturing (mechanical, structural, hydraulic and electrical/control system design).
• Proficient with 3-D CAD software applications (SolidWorks preferred) and ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
• Ability to read, interpret and create engineering drawings and standards.
• Understanding of manufacturing practices including cutting, forming and welding of metals.
• Good organization and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and final design solutions for new and improved products.
• Manage and coordinate project activities with cross-functional teams.
• Support existing product offerings and perform testing/analysis.
• Lead Quality Improvement Team (QIT) projects and cost reduction efforts.
• Create, check, and maintain engineering specifications and drawings.
• Manage engineering changes per established company procedures.
