Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design bespoke pallet conveyor systems for high unit load applications. You will translate customer needs into detailed mechanical concepts, develop layouts, and prepare installation drawings for varied projects across the UK and Europe.

You will collaborate with project delivery, controls, and manufacturing teams, travel to project sites as needed, and contribute to safety assessments and technical handovers throughout installation and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
• Master’s degree welcomed but not required.
• Proven experience in designing conveyor systems for material handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop project-specific approval layouts from customer and sales input.
• Translate project scopes into mechanical concepts and detailed layouts.
• Produce installation drawings and BOMs; coordinate with suppliers and sites.
