Title: Senior Associate - Contentious Trusts & Probate 5/6+PQE

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Role Type: Full-Time

Our client, a prestigious law firm in Dorset, is seeking a Senior Associate with experience in contentious trusts and probate. This role involves managing and developing a high-performing team, working closely with the Head of Contentious Trusts and Probate, and delivering exceptional legal services.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing Matters:

• Deliver high-quality legal services and client care, adhering to internal policies.
• Lead by example and promote effective use of IT systems.
• Address client concerns promptly and professionally.

Managing People:

• Foster a fair and inclusive work environment.
• Mentor trainees and junior staff, and manage team performance and training.

Technical Expertise:

• Maintain advanced knowledge of relevant laws and policies.
• Manage external experts and ensure professional conduct.
• Define scope of services and manage billing transparently.
• Keep clients informed about progress and costs.
• Manage work-in-progress and contribute to budgeting.

Business Development:

• Market the firm’s services and participate in client training and seminars.
• Write articles and represent the firm externally.

Personal Attributes:

• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate a positive attitude.
• Collaborate across departments and adhere to firm policies.

Other Duties:
